When you gotta go.. you gotta go!

So yes, I am posting this ... Gavin is trying to poop.  LOL. I am a little video happy today. But I do think it is funny when he tries to poop... which is SEVERAL times a day these days thanks to 3 meals a day! 

Here is also something that I love to see... HE LOVES BOOKS!  which I must say melts my heart being a reading teacher.  This boy really has no chance to not like it by the way!

Then last but not least... I just love this picture.. Josh and I have been trying to get out to eat a little bit more often (well ok the last two fridays..)  but with Gavin wanting to go to bed so early it is a little hard.  But we thought, if Josh gets off work early we can get somewhere before the rush and Gavin can stay up a little bit past his bedtime.. (6:45pm) and skip his bath.... So it has worked.. feeding him his dinner while we are waiting for our food, then letting the environment entertain him while we eat.. but once that magical number comes closer (6:30) he wants to start to go to bed.. right then.... here is the end result from last night.. Just can't keep this little guy up any longer... (for all those people who tell us... keep him up later..--we tried).  No reason to fight it.. he loves his sleep... JUST LIKE HIS MOMMY!  (Let's be thankful that he enjoys sleeping over 15 hours a day!)  Doesn't he look precious all snuggled up with his cover?

Blowing Bubbles..

Gavin has been going around blowing bubbles for quite some time now.. but lately has has been doing it when he doesn't like something.. no more food, don't wipe my nose, no more bottle... you get the point.  Here is a video of him blowing.. but just doing it to entertain himself.  I was trying to get him on video getting up on his knees.  But, of course, he didn't really want me to capture that.  Love this little G Unit!

Let It Snow... Part 2

On Jan 20th we got some snow, so Josh was able to come home a little early, the weather wasn't too cold.. so we went SLEDDING!  FUN!  Gavin loved it and Cody got a path made in the snow for him to run around in... he also barked at us the whole time....   He Loves his sled!  Can't wait to get out in the backyard a little more... soon enough.

This is the cutest video of Gavin's little laugh/chuckle.  He loves his time with mommy and daddy. His favorite things to play with are his bouncy seat - which by the way he goes nuts in,  his toy balls that chime when they move around, anything and everything that has lights and sound!  Hmm.. seems like that is about everything he owns!  He sure is investigating this world he lives in and plays, plays, plays!   Hope you enjoy this as much as we did!!!

So the holidays are finally over.. as of Jan 16, 2011....  Gavin really enjoyed his first christmas with lots of family, toys, love and smooches, and of course lights on the christmas tree.  He was such a good boy all through the holiday.. but the poor child just won't lay down for a nap if he is not at home.  Who can blame him.. he's got his momma's curosity and always wants to be "in the know"!  If we are out shopping he has to have a blanket cover him in order to sleep.. or momma just won't go in the store because she FULLY believes in keeping a schedule.  Schedules= happy babies... Happy babies= Happy mommies. Sorry for all those who want more time with him.. nap time is.. well nap time!  Gavin (G unit) is now 7 months old. 

This week we are:  

• getting on our knees and rocking back and forth more frequently
• very squirmy.... aka.. likes to wiggle out of arms while being held
• screaming very loudly
• LOVES playing with toys
• LOVES his CODY dog.. he will just laugh away even if Cody is sitting there
• Eating 3 meals a day now!
• We got our 2nd tooth!!!!!
• STRANGER DANGER-- let me explain and apologize now for Gavin.. He really does love all of his family, however he just is scared when someone else tries to hold him. He doesn't mean to not let you spend time with him.. he just knows when he is not with mommy or daddy.  We are kind of his favorite people.. and that just melts our hearts.. So, point of story.. next time you see him.. he will no doubt cry if you try to hold him.. and get his body to shake.. but that doesn't mean he doesn't love you! 

Gavin is no doubt a little mini josh.... Everyone comments on that where ever we go.
